Ozevo

Delete your account

Last updated 20 October 2026. App: Ozevo (iOS, Android, web). Developer: GoodSport.

Delete your Ozevo account

Delete in the app

  1. Open Ozevo and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab, then Settings, then Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Read what will happen, type DELETE, and confirm.
  5. Wait until it finishes. It can take a minute. You are signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.

If it fails (for example you have no connection), nothing is signed out. Try again; it is safe to repeat and will finish the job.

Delete by email (no app access)

If you have uninstalled the app, lost your device, or cannot sign in:

  1. Email support@getozevo.com from the email address you used to sign in. Use the subject Delete my Ozevo account.
  2. Tell us how you signed in (Google or Apple) and your display name. Do not send a password. Guests have no email, so a guest account can only be deleted from inside the app.
  3. We may reply to confirm it is really you before we delete anything.
  4. We delete the account and confirm by email. Target: within 30 days.

What happens to your data

Deleted
Your profile and everything under it (settings, private notes, blocked list, notification token, interests and limits, training plans, friend profile and friend data, Ask Coach chats). Your want-to-play posts. Your join records on other people's games (the player count goes down by one). Your chat messages. Your reviews of places and coaches. Your check-ins and "How busy was it?" answers. Your own score results and counters, and your leaderboard entries. Your tournament entries, "notify me" sign-ups, wishlist notes, area requests, coach application and coach profile, and academy listings you own. Your Ask Coach usage counters. Finally the sign-in account itself.
Cancelled
Future games you host, and tournaments you organise (unless finished). They are marked cancelled and the people who joined are told. Lessons and open lesson requests you are part of are cancelled.
Handed on
A group you own goes to the longest-standing leader or member; if nobody else is in it, it is removed.
Kept without your identity
Past games you hosted stay for the people who played, but no longer point to you. Reports you made, place reports and lesson requests stay for safety and records, but show only "deleted" instead of you. Reports other players filed about you also stay, anonymised, as moderation history. The moderators' copy of a chat message you wrote stays as evidence without your name. Group and tournament news you wrote stays with the author shown as "deleted". Shared score results with other people stay for them, with you shown as "Former player". Your name on tournament matches is removed.
Kept for a limited time
Short-lived backups and service logs may hold copies until they expire. See how long we keep it.
Not in our control
Anything you shared outside the app (for example a game link sent to a friend) and copies other people kept. Anthropic's handling of Coach messages is described in the Privacy Policy.

Signed in with Apple or Google?

Deleting your Ozevo account does not delete your Apple or Google account. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also remove Ozevo from your Apple ID under Settings, your name, Sign-In & Security, Sign in with Apple. On iPhone and iPad, deleting your account in the app also ends the Sign in with Apple link: Apple asks you to confirm once, then the link is revoked.

Delete only some data

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove some things.

  • Ask Coach chats: open Coach, then Your chats, and delete one or all. Chats also delete themselves after 90 days.
  • Chat messages and reviews: take back your own chat message (unless it has been reported) and edit or delete your reviews.
  • Usage counting: switch it off in Settings, Privacy, "Help improve Ozevo".
  • Friends: turn off "can be found" and game sharing in Friends privacy, or unfriend people.
  • Interests ("I'd play here"): remove them from My map.
  • Profile details: edit or clear them in Profile, Edit.
  • A game or post you made: cancel or remove it from your schedule.
  • Notifications and push token: turn them off in Settings, Notification settings, or in your device settings.
  • Anything else: email us and say what you want removed.

After deleting

You can sign up again at any time, but it will be a new account: your history, level and chats do not come back. If you were suspended or banned, deleting the account does not lift that: a one-way hashed marker of your sign-in identity (no name, email or user ID) is kept for as long as the ban lasts, so a returning account is banned again. legal review: state the maximum retention of this marker
