Ozevo

Terms of Service

Archived copy of the version of 20 October 2026 (version 2). This is the text people agreed to on that date. The current version is on the live page. Last updated 20 October 2026 (version 2). These terms describe the app as it is built today. Living in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland? Read the European version.

The short version

Using Ozevo

By using Ozevo you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who can use it. Ozevo is for adults only. You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding agreement; the app asks you to tick "I'm 18 or older" when you agree to these terms. Do not create an account for anyone under 18, and do not let anyone under 18 use yours. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close it.

Accounts. You can sign in with Google or Apple, or use a guest account with fewer features (a guest cannot chat, post want-to-play, review, enter tournaments or keep synced scores). Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens through it.

Changes to the service. Ozevo is under active development and some features are in beta. We may change or stop features. We may update these terms. When a change is material we tell you in the app, show you what changed (see Version history), and ask you to agree again before your next game, group or event. Each version of the terms is kept, so you can see what you agreed to.

What Ozevo is, and is not

Ozevo is a tool that lets people post and find games, courts and places, and read information about coaches, tournaments, shops and gear. We are not a party to any arrangement between players, do not organise or supervise games, and do not inspect, license or endorse venues, hosts, coaches or players.

  • A game listed on Ozevo is the host's plan. The host, not Ozevo, is responsible for the time, place, rules, and for having permission to use the venue. Public courts may not allow reserved or organised use.
  • Information on places, shops, routes and conditions comes from public sources (such as OpenStreetMap and Google) and from users. It can be wrong or out of date. Check before you travel.
  • Ozevo is not an emergency service. Call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 112 in Europe) if someone needs help. In-app reports are not an emergency service and are not watched around the clock.

Safety and your own risk

ASSUMPTION OF RISK. Sports and meeting other people involve risks, including injury, illness, loss of property and, in rare cases, death. These include risks from other players, from the condition of courts, fields and trails, and from weather, darkness and lighting. You choose whether to take part, and you accept these risks yourself.

RELEASE. To the fullest extent the law allows, you release Ozevo and the people who run it from claims arising from your taking part in games, lessons, events or meetings you find through Ozevo. This includes claims based on our negligence, but not claims for gross negligence or intentional harm, or anything else the law does not let us exclude.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO. We do not organise, run, supervise, insure or inspect games, venues, hosts, coaches or players. We do not run background or identity checks, except where a profile shows a badge that says exactly what was checked, and then only that. Nothing in the app means that a person or a place is "safe" or "verified".

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country.

  • Check that you are fit for the activity and use proper equipment.
  • When you meet someone new, meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, and leave if you feel uncomfortable. More on safety.
  • Take extra care after dark: choose lit, busy places, arrive and leave with others, and check posted park hours. The app shows when a game runs after sunset, and whether lights are listed for the place. A place with no lights listed may still be lit: we only lack the data.
  • Follow venue rules, posted signs, local laws, and weather and trail warnings. Climbing, skiing, paddling, cycling and similar activities need proper training and gear.
  • We cannot verify who people are, their skill, or what they say about themselves.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post (profile, games, notes, messages, photos). You give Ozevo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy and send it as needed to run and improve the service, including showing it to other users as the app describes. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people legitimately keep (for example a message already delivered) and short-lived backups.

You promise you have the right to post it, and that it does not break the law or someone else's rights. Do not post other people's private information. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines.

Chat, reviews, check-ins, scores, groups and friends

  • Chat. Chat in games, groups and tournaments is for the people in them and needs a full Google or Apple account. We filter messages automatically and hide those that look like abuse, spam, links, phone numbers or email addresses. Anyone in a chat can report a message; reports from several different people hide it until a moderator looks (reports from new or linked accounts count for less). We may remove messages and chats. Messages are kept for as long as the chat exists. You may block people. Do not use chat to take a conversation off the app in order to harass someone or to sell something.
  • Reviews. Write about your own experience, honestly and without personal details. One review per place or coach. A review is shown with your first name and last initial. We may hide or remove reviews that break the rules, are not about the place or coach, or look paid for, and we do not take payment to change a rating. Coach reviews need a real lesson.
  • Check-ins and "how busy". Tap "I'm here" only when you are there, and answer honestly. "Likely busy" figures are estimates from open data and other players, not a promise that a place has room. We may ignore check-ins that look false.
  • Scores and leaderboards. Results are what the players say they were. Report the score honestly. The other side can confirm or dispute it, and a result that is disputed, unconfirmed or looks wrong may not count. Leaderboards are optional, for adults, and may be changed, reset or withdrawn. Do not game them.
  • Groups. A group's owner and leaders are players, not Ozevo staff. They may accept, remove and set rules for members. A leader who misuses a group may be removed, and we may archive a group.
  • Friends. Friend requests and game invites need an account. Do not send requests or invites to harass.

Rules

You agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, discriminate against, or impersonate others; or contact anyone you know or suspect is under 18 (Ozevo is for adults only);
  • post false, misleading or illegal listings, spam, or advertising we have not agreed to;
  • scrape the service, probe or attack it, bypass limits or access controls, or create accounts to avoid a suspension;
  • use Ask Coach to harm others or to get around its safety rules;
  • post false check-ins, reviews or scores, or ask others to;
  • post personal contact details, payment requests or links to other services in game notes;
  • bring alcohol or drugs to a game, ignore a venue's rules and posted hours, or refuse to leave when asked.

The Community Guidelines explain these in plain language.

Hosts, coaches and tournaments

  • Hosts are responsible for accurate listings, for showing up or cancelling in good time, and for any permit or booking a venue requires.
  • Coaches on Ozevo are independent. They are not employees or agents of Ozevo. We review applications but do not guarantee their qualifications, insurance or results. Arrange lessons at your own discretion. A lesson request is only a message to the coach; it is not a booking.
  • Tournaments and events are run by their organisers, who set the rules, fees and waivers. Entering may require accepting an organiser's waiver; we record that you accepted it and when.
  • Payments. Ozevo does not take payments today.

Ask Coach

Ask Coach gives general sports information produced by an AI model. It can be wrong or incomplete. It is not medical, legal, nutritional or professional coaching advice, and it cannot see you or your surroundings. Stop and see a qualified professional for pain, injury or health concerns. It is for people 18 and over. Your messages are processed by Anthropic as described in the Privacy Policy. We may limit or end access to prevent abuse or control cost.

Our property

The Ozevo name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. Map, place, photo and route data belong to their owners (for example Google, and OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence). We give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the app. Do not copy, reverse engineer or resell it.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

Suspension and ending

You can stop using Ozevo and delete your account at any time. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, creates risk, or is used unlawfully. Where reasonable we will tell you why and how to appeal by email. Sections that by nature should survive (for example liability limits and disputes) survive ending.

Places and programs for children

Ozevo is for adults. Children do not use Ozevo and cannot have an account. The "For kids" section helps parents and guardians find playgrounds and children's programs, such as camps, classes and leagues, that other people and organizations run.

We list these from public data and from organizers. We do not run, supervise, inspect or vouch for any of them, and a listing is not a recommendation. Dates, ages and prices are shown as the organizer or the source gives them, and they can change or be wrong. Check with the organizer before you sign up or go, and decide for yourself whether a program or place is right for your child.

If a listing looks wrong or unsafe, report it in the app where you can, or email support@getozevo.com, and we will review it.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

Ozevo is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings, people, venues or advice are accurate or safe.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ozevo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for injury, loss or damage arising from games, meetings, lessons, tournaments or venues arranged through the service, or from content posted by others. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of USD 100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify Ozevo against claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Disputes are heard in the courts of King County, Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts. There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver.

Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@getozevo.com and try to resolve it informally.

If you got the app from the App Store or Google Play

These terms are between you and Ozevo, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no duty to provide support or maintenance, and are not responsible for claims about the app. Apple's and Google's own terms also apply to you, and Apple and Google (and their subsidiaries) can enforce these terms against you as third-party beneficiaries where required.

Version history and contact

Version 2, 15 October 2026. Ozevo is for people 18 and older only. The "Before you play" screen now has a required "I'm 18 or older" box, the Kids view, family games and children's lists are gone, and "Who can use it" says so. Everyone who agreed to version 1 is asked to agree again once. Archived copy: terms of 15 October 2026. Copy edit of 20 October 2026 (still version 2): the name is now Ozevo, the contact address is support@getozevo.com, and chat messages no longer expire; added "Places and programs for children" (a directory for parents; children still cannot use Ozevo). Archived copy: terms of 20 October 2026.

Version 1, 14 October 2026. The first version with the safety notice: the assumption of risk and the release (the European version has no release), advice for meeting people and for playing after dark, and the Community Guidelines sections "Playing after dark" and "Share your plan". Archived copy: terms of 14 October 2026.

Each version is kept so you can see what you agreed to. When a new version is published, a short summary of what changed is added here first, and the app links to it from the screen that asks you to agree again.
